In the year 2025,GMIRS has competed for the I-CIRO TECH(International Creative, Innovative, Robotic & Technology Competition)competition on 

15–16 October 2025 at Institut Pendidikan Guru Kampus Tengku Ampuan Afzan, Kuala Lipis.

The team proudly bringing home the Gold Medal in the International Innovation category with their invention SMYCATV2 (Smart DIY Camber Wheel Adjustment Tool V2).

Robocon 2023

  In the year 2023, GMIRS has competed for the ROBOCON copetition on 10-13 JUNE 2023 at University Sains Malaysia, Pulau Pinang. the competition was held at Kompleks Sukan Azman Shah. The competition has required the participants to build up 2 robot. the first robot were assigned to collect the rings provided by the organiser while the other robot were assigned to shoot the ring into several poles.

UniKL Robattle 2018

GMI Robotic Society will continue its activity in 2018 by participating in the second event of the year at UniKL MFI, competing in two categories which is Line Follower Robot and Robattle Robbot but unfortunately, the Line Follower category is cancelled by the organizer on August 2018. This program is a student driven event, initiated by Robotic Society with the collaboration of various clubs/societies and departments of University Kuala Lumpur. The competition is open to IPTS,IPTA,Technical Institute, Companies. German-Malaysian Institute (GMI) is well known as one of the most competitive participant when participated in any competition especially for robotics category.
