Robotic Club 2012 Review
In the year 2012, we entered 2 national competitions which was held in Selangor and Perlis. Thankfully, we won the Malaysian University Robot Competition MIROC 2012 in Perlis. The following shows the event name, level ,category and the achievement of both competitions.

Besides participating, our campus also conducted our own competition (MECON) to compete among members. The competition was organized by GMI's Robotic, Industrial Electronic (I.E.) department and sponsored by ASTANA DIGITAL to challenge the member's skill and ability in programmable logic controllers (PLC) and micro-controllers. It was only opened to all semester 2 to semester 6 Industrial Electronic (I.E.) department students. The organizer of the event had prepared all the necessary equipment and devices, but its up to the participant to bring their own appropriate tools. The competition was divided into 2 category which was;
Types of category:
Category 1: PLC and Pneumatic Control Application
Challenge student's skill and competency to control the pneumatic equipment (FESTO and REXTROTH ) using SIEMENS S7 PLC module
Category 2 : Mobile Robot Line Tracking
Challange student's ability and skill to program the mobile robot using Micro-C programming language with PIC 16F887A
