GMi Robotics Society

In the year 2025,GMIRS has competed for the I-CIRO TECH(International Creative, Innovative, Robotic & Technology Competition)competition on  15–16 October 2025 at Institut Pendidikan Guru Kampus Tengku Ampuan Afzan, Kuala Lipis. The team proudly bringing home the Gold Medal in the International Innovation category with their invention SMYCATV2 (Smart DIY Camber Wheel Adjustment Tool V2).

  In the year 2025,GMIRS has competed for the ROBOCON competition on  16-19 June.The competition held at Dewan Sultan,UTHM Malaysia, Parit Raja, Johor.It was organizer by ministry of Education,UTHM & Radio Televisyen Malaysia.This time GMRIS has make robot by using concept of 3D and pnuematic mechanism for first time.GMIRS has sent robot to compete with other team about game basketball.GMIRS team collected 9 points and place among the top 3 teams in the league.

In the year 2025,GMIRS has participated in the IPRISMA 2025 and Pameran Inovasi STEM & Robot Battle 2025 at KKTM Pasir Mas,Kelantan. GMI has sent only 1 team to participate in the  Innovation. This time GMI ROBOTIC SOCIETY manage to get the Silver Medal Award,ranking in the first half of the 55 teams participated for the innovation event.

  In the year 2024, GMIRS has participated in the U-ROCK COMPETITION IN 2024.  The event was held at Putrajaya. GMI has sent only 1 team to participate in the rope climbing robot category. Fortunately, this time, GMI ROBOTIC SOCIETY has finally achieved to gain the third place in this category.

  In the year 2024, GMIRS has participated in the YROBOC COMPETITION.  The event was held at IKTBN Bukit Mertajam, Penang. GMI has sent 2 teams to participate in tower conquer and 8kg boxing category. Team tower conquerer managed to reach in the semi finals but was defeated in that round.

In the year 2022, GMIRS has participated in the University Robot Competition: Kingdom of Champion    ( U- rock). The event was taken at University Malaysia Perlis. GMI has sent 3 teams that consist of 2 teams for legged robot race and 1 team for rope climbing robot. Team rope climbing robot mage to be in the 5th place during the competition. and the legged robot race team has placed in top 10 during the competition.
