GMi Robotics Society

  In the year 2022, GMIRS has participated in the University Robot Competition: Kingdom of Champion   ( U- rock). The event was taken at University Malaysia Perlis. GMIRS has built up 3 robot to  compete in the competition. The category of the competition was Legged Robot race. The robot GMIRS sent was a Spider-robot.

  In the year 2022, GMIRS has participated in the ROBOCON competition at University Sains Malaysia, Pulau Pinang. This competition was held from 2 - 5 June 2022 at Kompleks Sukan Azman Hashim. the competition consist of 2 robots and will compete with other team.One robot is required to shoot a ball to make the tower collapse while the onther robot is required to stack it back together following the time that has been set.

Greetings and Guten Tag! This time we participated in a new competition at UniKL MFi which held at Perdana Hall starting on 2nd November 2019 until 3rd November 2019. Two competitions is held at the same time which is Line Following and Robot Combat. Sadly, we didn't win the robattle competition but unexpectedly we win a trophy in Best Technology category. A big applause to the team!

A new year and a new start, this time GMIRS participated in Robocon Malaysia 2019 at Dewan Seri Sarjana, UNITEN, Selangor that held for 3 days. In ROBOCON Malaysia 2019, each match will be between a Red team and a Blue team. The match could last for a maximum of three (3) minutes. Each team will have to prepare two (2) Messenger Robots that is Messenger-Robot 1, and Messenger Robot 2. GMI Robotic Society will continue its activity in 2018 by participating in the second event of the year at UniKL MFI, competing in two categories which is Line Follower Robot and Robattle Robbot but unfortunately, the Line Follower category is cancelled by the organizer on August 2018. This program is a student driven event, initiated by Robotic Society with the collaboration of various clubs/societies and departments of University Kuala Lumpur. The competition is open to IPTS,IPTA,Technical Institute, Companies. German-Malaysian Institute (GMI) is well known as one of the most competitive participant when participated in any competition especially for robotics category. ROBOCON 2018 ABU Robocon extended the concept from NHK Robocon which started in 1991 and restricted to teams from Japan only. Each year the competition has different topics, but generally speaking two or more robots must be used to complete the tasks. One of the robots would be manual control while the others are automatic. The best robots usually weight more than 10 kg and span in one square meter area.
